The Art

A collection of things I make - inspired by history, people, and the everyday details that make life interesting.

An Old Soul with a Wandering Imagination

I've always been drawn to things with a story. Old buildings, vintage advertisements, historic illustrations, forgotten craftsmanship, and the kind of art that makes you stop and take a closer look. There's something about the creativity of the past that I find endlessly fascinating. Not just how things looked, but the thought, skill, and personality that went into making them.

My interests tend to wander, and so does my work. I love the elegance of Art Nouveau, the bold geometry of Art Deco, and the simplicity of mid-century design. But I'm just as inspired by a centuries-old painting, an architectural detail, or something completely unexpected. I don't necessarily want to recreate the past. I enjoy borrowing from it, experimenting with it, and occasionally bending the rules to make something my own.

Whether I'm working with a pencil, a paintbrush, or a computer, I approach each piece with curiosity and an appreciation for the details. Some projects are carefully planned. Others take on a life of their own. That's part of what I enjoy about creating.

At the end of the day, I make art because I genuinely love the process. I like exploring ideas, learning new techniques, and seeing where a little imagination can take me. If something I create makes someone pause, smile, think, or simply appreciate a detail they might otherwise have overlooked, I'd consider that time well spent.
